The Expanse RPG fantasy region map

I like the artwork on this map quite a bit. :) I made a one of a kind compass, and a logo for the world, as well as several custom city icon spots. The watercolor came out excellent. If I had a say in it, I would've had more severe of a contrast between the text and elements, however, my commissioner requested a more minimal stroke/outline and this is our result. It is unlikely to be a problem as they were using it at full size on a screen, and not the downsized version I've placed in my portfolio.

This is a dangerous place, the Expanse. To the east, orcs come from the deadlands and have possibly killed all of the mountain dwarves where the skull is. This appeared to be the "adventure hook" and then the players would work towards the west, from which another evil comes. We decided to leave the east and north and south all open for expansion (see what I did there). The ocean is tricky to sail and the adventure is expected to take place on land, so creating a road network to travel through the Expanse was important for this commission. This client wanted simpler and sharper mountains than I often do, so we have a fairly simple pyramid-style mountain with hatching, distinguished from the one actual pyramid present in the southmost city circle by the direction of the hatching.
