Why yes, that is hand-drawn calligraphy on the banner. Sometimes I hand letter entire maps; we went with a font for the body text and calligraphy on the banner only.
Final Map with Hurricane Dangerous Storms. A highly detailed fantasy map poster painting with very custom elements including a dragon frame and compass. Lots of little creatures, shipwrecks... a looooot of time went into this one.
